On July 1st in Frankfort Michigan John LaFeldt (a Member of the Flint Steelheaders) hooked a 20LB 8OZ Salmon on Disco with a light blue BTB (Better Than Bait) soaked with herring oil on a wire dipsy set on 3 100 feet back. We also went 4 for 6 with 2 other Salmon on Disco with light blue BTB. |

On July 24th 2008 Ladies Team 'Fishing Again' won the ladies tournament Alpena Brown Trout Festival. Total weight 48.95 with one lake Trout tipping the scales at 21.40 lb 38 1/2in long caught on a Purple Haze Meat Rig with a Light Blue BTB soaked in Herring Oil, behind a 11LB Ridgeback, Rattler 132 down in 140 feet of water.This is the largest Lake Trout caught in the Brown Trout Festival history of 35+ years. |
